Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not tremble or be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." I love this because this is just like God . . . he is there for us . . . He is the initiator . . . He fights the battles . . . He uplifts us . . . Like the Israelites getting ready to cross into the Promised Land . . . we are so often afraid of those things that God can handle because we can't. We want to handle them ourselves, and if we would just trust and step out in faith . . . look at the benefits . . . the rest, the land flowing with milk and honey . . . the will of God. And this verse is just the concept o GRACE. I love them theme running throughout the Old Testament - yes, I did say OLD. God is sooo good! How cool is that! |
